We've Moved

The pups and Cleo moved into the puppy pen Wednesday morning, and everyone adjusted very well. My puppy pen set up is a double exercise pen (not fully expanded yet), with living area on one side and litter box on the other. And there is a low "half panel" bridging the opening so that Cleo (and the other adult dogs) can easily come and go. The litter box is a plastic cargo liner from the hatch of a Ford vehicle (garage sale find). Works great - big, not too deep, good surface texture, easy to clean. I use shredded office paper or pine shavings as litter. The pen is set up in my living room next to the TV, so the pups will grow up with lots of household activity. And the pups will get an ever revolving set of toys to play with as the mature. The pups ear canals are starting to open. Not only are pups born blind, but also deaf. The ear canals typically open about 1 week after the eyes open.

Once again, this small pet bed is very popular (Purple, Green, Orange and Cream).

Yay! The puppy pen, the puppy pen!! I love this part. Easy for me to say, since is not taking up MY entire living room! But now is when to me we really can start seeing little personalities, when they're old enough for the puppy pen and lots of interacting with each other and the environment.

Agree, 2 to 4 weeks is such a magical time.
